Year 2025 – Legends Tour School

A prize to change a year

The Legends Tour Qualifying School is set for an exciting return in 2025 – with the popular Gloria Golf Resort in Belek, Turkey, hosting players looking to make their mark on the over-50s tour.

The Qualifying School provides an opportunity for accomplished former DP World Tour players and aspiring over-50 professionals alike to fulfil their dreams of playing alongside some of the biggest legends in the European game such as Paul McGinley, Colin Montgomerie, Paul Lawrie, Michael Campbell, and Ian Woosnam at world-class venues across the globe.

Qualifying is open to all male professional golfers who are 50 years of age on or before July 31, 2025, as well as all male amateur golfers who are 50 years of age on or before July 31, 2025, with a handicap of one (1) or lower under the World Handicapping System adopted by the recognised authority controlling golf in the country from which they elect to enter.

The 2025 Qualifying School will begin with First Stage Qualifying on January 13th, with rounds on both Gloria’s Old and New courses. Final Stage Qualifying will follow from January 17th. Played exclusively on the New Course, Final Stage Qualifying will be played over 72 holes of stroke play, with a 54-hole cut. The top five players will earn their cards for the 2025 Legends Tour season.

Tour School Reflections

Tour School was a challenging week for me, as I came into the week not having my A game. I played some great golf, over the first 3 rounds, but unfortunately, it was the errors that proved costly. My driver swing, in particular, was unkind to me all week. While the majority of the field were hitting fairways and capitalizing making birdies, I was mostly of the fairways in the trees and making bogies.

Another tough moment came on the 14th hole during round three—a Quadruple bogey and a big set back to miss the cut by miles.

Despite the disappointment, I leave the week knowing I’m at the right standard to compete. Now, the focus is on delivering that level of performance consistently over all 72 holes.
